Big River Watershed Restoration - Proposition 40 River Parkways Grant Project
Description
In support of the original nature of the proposed work, this supplement to the Mitigated Negative Declaration incorporates an additional 1.46 miles of former logging road along the M2 road, including seven additional stream channel crossings. Work related to these efforts will: -Remove outside berms along road and use material to outslope road surface; -Deposit excess fill on former landings or skid roads, or within Big River quarry. -Eliminate inboard ditches; -Remove existing culverts, road fill, and excess sediment within stream channels; -Apply appropriate erosion control materials and methods; -Monitor and maintain erosion controls and remove invasive plant species; -Revegetate, as necessary, with native plants salvaged from the site.
