About CEQAnet
CEQAnet is the online searchable environmental database of the State Clearinghouse (SCH) within the Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI). The CEQAnet database contains key information from all California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents submitted to the SCH for state review since 1990. Additionally, some federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents are submitted to the SCH for state review and key information from these NEPA documents are available in the database.
The CEQAnet database provides summaries of Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs), Negative Declarations, Environmental Impact Statements, and other types of CEQA and NEPA documents. The summaries include the project title, project location, lead agency name, contact information, and project description. As of March 2019, CEQAnet provides copies of full text on any environmental documents and notices.
CEQAnet is not a comprehensive database of all CEQA and NEPA documents in California because not all environmental documents are submitted to the SCH.
LCI makes available information about notices of exemption, notices of preparation, notices of determination, and notices of completion to the public through CEQAnet (CEQA Guidelines Section 15023 (h)).
Disclaimer: The Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI) is not a regulatory agency and its role is to make CEQA documents publicly available. It does not “enforce” CEQA or review the submitted documents for legal adequacy. The documents and their attachments have been posted in the manner they were received and LCI accepts no responsibility for the content or accessibility of these documents.
