Document Description
The two project sites (referred to as the Tennant Marsh Site and the Riverside Drive Site) are located along Coyote Creek in South San Jose, Santa Clara County. The Tennant Marsh Site is part of the existing Tennant Road Marsh which is located adjacent to the northerly portion of the Coyote Creek Golf Course. Both sites are owned by the Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department. The project involves the removal of a noxious weed, giant cane (Arundo donax), as well as the creation and enhancement of wetland, riparian, and shaded riverine aquatic habitat. The project fully compensates for significant biotic impacts associated with publicly-funded transit and highway improvement projects which are being implemented (or are proposed for implementation) in Santa Clara County, California.
