- Description
- The proposed action focuses on the excavation of the arsenic, lead, and polycyclic aromatice hydrocarbons (PAHs) impacted soil from the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) yard (approximately 178 cubic yards of waste); the removal of the arsenic and organichlorine pesticides (OCP) impacted soil from existing stockpiles of soil (approximately 3,260 cubic yards); and the transportation of the excavated material to an appropriately permitted off-site disposal facility. The proposed actions will remove the contaminated soil form the site to encure future students, faculty and staff are protected. To accomplish this, the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is approving the Sequoia High School Relocation Removal Action Workplan pursuant to the authority granted under Chapter 6.8, Division 20, section 25323.1 and 25356.1 of the Health and Safety Code.
