- Description
- The 2019 LRDP would involve the redevelopment of approximately 34 acres of the 62-acre campus to meet more stringent seismic safety standards mandated by Senate Bill 1953, accommodate new advances in healthcare technology, and replace aging facilities and infrastructure. The redevelopment would require demolition, grading/excavation, building construction, and utility and street improvements. Over 90% of the campus' existing healthcare and research buildings would be demolished and replaced with similar uses and 1,000 new multi-family residential units would be constructed. The 2019 LRDP includes the following Land Use Districts: Health Care, Residential, Open Space, Mixed-Use, and Canyon (preserved). The redevelopment is anticipated to be complete by 2035.
