Belridge Water Storage District Solar Project

Description

The proposed project is a fenced and gated 8.5 mw solar pv energy generation facility, consisting of approx. 26,000 pv panels, and is intended to offset about 95% of the cost of the current electrical energy demand of BWSD's Pumping Plant A and Pumping Plant B facilities. The solar panels would occupy approx. 47 acres of the 55-acre site and would be mounted on a single axis tracking system in order to maximize sunlight capture. The solar panels would have a max height of eight ft at max tilt. The facility would also interconnect Belridge Water Storage District's two existing meters, one at the Pumping Plant A facility and the second at the pumping plant B facility, via an underground conduit installation approx. 9,600 ft in length. A 13,000 foot by 20 foot maintenance and fire access road would be constructed between and around the panels and would be covered with crushed rock.
