Title: Niagara Substation
Description: The project is the construction and operation of a Southern CA Edison 66/12 kV substation to meet electrical demand associated with the operation of additional bottling lines at the existing 38.5 acre Niagara Water Bottling Production and Distribution Facility (Niagara Facility). The substation would occupy approx. 0.24 acre within a part of the existing parking lot for the Niagara Facility. No expansion of the Niagara Facility is proposed. The substation would be a new unstaffed, automated substation constructed by SCE for the exclusive use of the Niagara Facility. The primary components of the project are the substation, underground subtransmission lines, a fiber optic telecommunication system, and the 12 kV distribution system. Underground installation would include off-site trenching within the existing utility easement and within Laurel Avenue and Walnut Avenue; all off site components would be placed under ground.
