Martin Ranch Canal Maintenance (Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2015-0161-R2).

Description

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2015-0161-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Merio Farming Group as represented by Rocque Merlo. The project is limited to mowing of emergent aquatic vegetation and removal of accumulated silt from the bed of the canal. Emergent vegetation within the channel and along the water side of the banks of the canal will mowed to a height of no less than 4 inches and an excavator will be used to removed accumulated silt and soil from the bed of the canal where it is significantly reducing channel capacity in an effort to minimize future flooding risks and property damage as a result of storm water runoff flows. All excavate soils and mowed vegetation will be removed from the bed and banks of the waterway and disposed of In an area of the property where the materials cannot re-enter this or any other way.
