Description

CDFW has executed lake and streambed alteration agreement no. 1600-2015-0112-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to the project applicant, Cresleigh Homes Corporation. The project is limited to the installation of a single storm drain outfall structure into Sucker Ravine to drain the onsite detention basin and the filling of 0.29 acres of associated seasonal wetland and wetland swales. The outfall structure will consist of a 30 in drainage pipe emptying onto a rock bed energy dissipater. Installation of the outfall structure and rock energy dissipater will result in a permanent impact to <0.01 acres of Sucker Ravine riparian habitat. The project will permanently fill 0.29 acres of seasonal wetlands and wetland swales. To offset the impacts to seasonal wetlands and wetland swales, the Permittee purchased 0.30 acres of seasonal wetland credits from the Toad Hill Mitigation Bank. The portions of Sucker Ravine and its intermittent tributary (Loomis Channel) occurring onsite will be placed in a conservation easement that will dedicated in perpetuity to the City of Rocklin, as part of the city's general open space management plan. The 3.64 acre preserve site includes 0.14 acres of stream (0.09 intermittent, 0.05 perennial). The project is proposed to begin during the summer of 2015 and conclude during the winter of 2015/2016, requiring approximately 175 days to complete project related activities. Work will not occur within the wetted channel of Sucker Ravine.
