- Title
- Yuba River Charter School
- Description
- The project consists of the Department of Toxic Substances Control's (DTSC) approval of a Final Removal Action Workplan (RAW) to address contaminated soils within the Kenny Ranch Burn Dump site ("the Site") pursuant to the authority granted under Chapter 6.8 of the California Health and Safety Code, Division 20, Sections 25323.1 and 25356.1. The Site was formerly identified in the Nevada County Recorder's Office as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 07-111-05 and is now the northern portion of the APN 07-200-09. The RAW was prepared by Holdrege & Kull (September 15, 2014) on behalf of Yuba River Charter School and is incorporated by reference. The objective of the RAW is to mitigate potential risk to human health and the environment by reducing or eliminating future exposure to lead- and arsenic-impacted soils identified during previous investigations. Major elements of the removal action include (1) excavation of approximately 2,200 to 2,860 cubic yards of contaminated soil; (2) hauling contaminated soil to a certified hazardous waste disposal facility, and (3) bringing clean fill material to balance the site for the final grading. This will result in approximately 314 to 408 large trucks trips to and from the site.
