Description

Phase III of the School of Cinematic Arts complex consists of a single building located at 3470 McClintock Avenue within USC's University Park Campus. The development site parallels McClintock Avenue and extends from 34th Street south to 35th Street. The building would include approximately 53,000 square feet of floor area as defined in the Los Angeles Planning and Zoning Code and approximately 61,000 square feet of gross floor area as defined in the Los Angeles Building Code. The new building would be comprised of three stories with a full basement. The height of the building would not exceed 72-feet, measured to the highest point on the building, a tower element at the building's south end. Proposed uses within the building would include offices, classrooms, media and computer labs, a small coffee shop, and several large screening rooms/instructional rooms as well as restrooms. An existing two-story 2,328 square foot administrative office building would be removed for the Project. Approval of this case does not include any other projects included under ENV-2009-271-EIR.
