Description

Note: Extended Review Per Lead. Construct improvements to I-710 from Ocean Blvd in the city of Long Beach to SR-60 in East LA. Proposed project includes two build alternatives and one no-build alternative. Build alternatives propose adding lane(s) to the freeway mainline under one alternative and construction of a separate four-lane freight movement corridor under one alternative. The project would improve air quality and public health, improve traffic safety, modernize freeway design, accommodate projected traffic volumes and projected growth for population, employmnt, & economic activities related to goods movement. Key issues of concern include air quality/health risk, relocations, recreational resources, the LA River, traffic, noise, aesthetics, environmental justice, and construction impacts.
