New Stockton Courthouse for the Superior Court of California

Description

NOTE: Addendum to EIR The Administrative Office of the Courts is acquiring a parcel from the City of Stockton, will construct a new 30-courtroom courthouse on the parcel, and will operate the courthouse for the Superior Court of California, County of San Joaquin. The new courthouse will replace the existing courthouse in Stockton and the existing Courthouse Annex. The new Stockton Courthouse will be a 12-story building plus a roof-top machinery room with a total height of approximately 220 feet and a gross area of approximately 325,000 square feet. The AOC's proposed project change consists of the substitution features to the northwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and Hunter Street instead of a planned water feature, the AOC will place the water feature, which was a mitigated measure for aesthetic impacts, along the north side of the courthouse along Weber Avenue. There is inadequate space for the water feature at the northwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and Hunter Street and Hunter Street, and installment of a water feature next to the intersection might create security and traffic hazard issues.
