Project Info
- Title
- Back Basin Groundwater Storage Project
- Description
- The Summerly (also known as Crawford 5) and Diamond (also known as A-2) wells are two of six injected and extraction wells located in the Back Basin area of Lake Elsinore intended to serve as an aquifer storage and recovery system. During the winter months, imported water from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California will be injected into the wells and stored within the Elsinore Groundwater Basin. The stored water would be extracted during the summer months, allowing EVMWD to reduce its reliance on imported water.
