Title: Calistoga Water Tank Project
Description: The City of Calistoga proposes to construct a fully-buried, I.5 million-gallon water tank on top of Mount Washington as a means to better accommodate its municipal water supply and comply with a State order to improve its existing water storage capacity to meet health and safety concerns. A secondary reason for the project is that potential development projects in the city are limited by an inadequate water supply. The development of such a tank would require excavation, truck-hauling of spoils from the project site, and construction.
