Title: Park Avenue Elementary School-Operable Unit 1
Description: The proposed project consists of excavation of 39,000 cubic yards of soil contaminated with volatile organic compounds, petroleum hydrocarbons and metals. Excavated soil will be hauled offsite and disposed of at an appropriate facility. Confirmatory soil sampling will be performed to assure achievement of cleanup goals. Finally, the excavated areas will be backfilled with clean soil. The project is anticipated to commence in June 2002 and continue for six months.
