Description: The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA #R5-2001-0000) pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Jim Miller of Orange County Flood Control District. The applicant proposes to divert the flow of water from the Garden Grove Channel further down stream to improve the efficiency of the Bolsa Chica Channel by eliminating the backwater that occurs at the existing box culvert and the Garden Grove Channel confluence. The project is located beneath the 405/22 Freeway Interchange in the Garden Grove Channel and the Bolsa Chica Channel in the Cities of Seal Beach and Garden Grove, County of Orange.
