Description: The Reedley Specific Plan (RSP) applies to approximately 1,285 acres of land located mostly outside the existing city limits, but within the Reedley Sphere of Influence (Reedley's 20-year growth boundary and the line the delineates where where annexations may occur). The Plan is intended to implement a number of Livable Cities/Smart Growth development principles to produce new development that responds to a number of concerns. * Preserving agricultural land * Preserving/improving air quality * Building a strong sense of community and livability in new neighborhoods. * Conserving energy * Fostering development that accommodates and encourages alternative forms of transportation such as walking and bicycling.
