Title: Flood Control Improvements Along the Mainstem of the American River
Description: The project involves modifications to Folsom Dam and levees along the lower American River. The elements of the project include reoperating Folsom Dam on a long-term basis, modifying Folsom Dam's outlet works, equalizing levee heights along the lower American River, constructing a closure structure at the mouth of the Mayhew Drain and a pumping facility as appropriate, to prevent the backup of floodwaters on the Folsom Boulevad side of the closure structure, and increasing the conveyance capacity of the South Sacramento Streams Group levee system.
