Document Description
The Groundwater Treatment Facilities at La Palma, Linda Vista, Boysen Park, and Energy Field Sites Project (Project) would install ion-exchange water treatment systems at the La Palma Reservoir, Linda Vista Reservoir, Boysen Park, and Energy Field sites. The Project would involve installing resin vessels that are approximately 17 feet tall and 12 feet in diameter at each location. The Project would also involve installing features such as filters, pumps, pipes valves, and electrical equipment. The Linda Vista site would receive a new backup generator, and existing control buildings would be replaced. New piping would be installed beneath roadways near the Project sites. Water supply wells near each site would be rehabilitated with new liners installed to improve water production capacity. A new water supply well would be drilled at the Linda Vista site. Security features such as block walls and chain-link fences would be installed at each site, along with new lighting and security cameras. Some trees and vegetation would be removed from within the footprint of each site to facilitate construction of the treatment equipment and new fences and walls. Some existing park benches would be relocated at the Boysen Park site. Construction is anticipated to begin in September 2021 and last through May 2023.
