Project proposes:
1. Replace older generation lighting with LED lighting across County facilities to provide better lighting and save on energy and maintenance costs (County Government Center, Public Works Office, Solid Waste Facility, Sheriff’s Office, Mariposa Museum and History Center, County Jail, Health and Human Services Facility and the Parks and Recreation Office)
2. Replace all heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment at County Government Center except archive unit with a newer energy efficient system
3. Install Solar Photovoltaic Systems at the County Government Center (69.3kW ground mounted system), County Jail (152.45 kW ground mounted system), Health and Human Services Facility (315.32 kW ground mounted system), Museum and History Center (52.75 kW ground mounted system), Parks and Recreation Office (29.65 kW roof mounted system), Solid Waste Facility (87.01 kW roof mounted system), and Public Works Office (91.63 kW ground mounted system)

The project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301, which allows repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment involving no expansion of use; Section 15303, which allows construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities; Section 15311, which allows construction or placement of minor accessory structures; and Section 15329, which allows the installation of co-generation equipment with a capacity of 50 megawatts or less at existing facilities.
