The project is a modification to an existing 102,000 gallon winery which would see wine production increased to 150,000 gallons, a 45,945 sq. ft. expansion to an existing Type II cave to a Type III, excavation of a second cave portal, the deposit of approximately 20,300 cubic yards of cave spoils at a spoils stockpile, construction of a 3,350 sq. ft. canopy for an existing uncovered crush pad, construction of 820 sq. ft. for a uncovered mechanical yard, and widening of the project access road to meet County Road and Street Standards (RSS). The applicant has requested an exception to the County RSS for a section of the access road that falls within conservation setbacks for an existing water feature (Leoma Lakes).
