Document Description
Project involves replacing eight existing buried water valves with new valves and access sleeve at Green Valley Campground. Existing valves burial depth range from 25 inches to 32 inches. A trench to expose the existing valves and allow working room will be needed. The trench will be approximately 26" wide X 8' to 14' foot long. A contractor wil l conduct most of the work with instructions on temporary placement of soils, discovery of tree roots with avoidance measures, work barrier fencing such as safety mesh and silt fabric, erosion control and storm water perimeter sediment control straw compressed fabric. Completion of each site requires a valve marker and traffic bearing valve box with return of native soil and area cleanup.

The action falls under the Departmental List of Exempt activities according to CEQA §15300.4 as:
• "Utility repairs or minor upgrades" (Class 1, Section 15301 );
• "Construction or installation of park facilities ... " (Class 3, Section 15303); and
• "Minor trenching and backfilling where the surface is restored" (Class 4, Section 15304)
