The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would provide funding in the amount of $99,952 to The Regents of the University of California to complete pre-implementation resource surveys and CEQA compliance, support collaboration with stakeholders and partners, and support collaboration with the Plumas National Forest on NEPA preparation. This planning and environmental compliance would support future implementation of the UC Forestry Camp Fuels Reduction and Forest Restoration Demonstration Project, with the goal of demonstrating a range of ecological restoration and climate resilient forest management approaches that could be replicated across other WUI and sensitive species areas within National Forests, private lands, and other seasonal outdoor education and recreation camps.
