Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2020-0019-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to MWD as represented by Ms. Jennifer Harriger. The Project includes the shutdown and dewatering of the San Diego Pipeline No. 4. beginning at station 1195+15 and continuing downstream, along the pipeline, through station 1583+65. Project activities in the stream areas include the placement of erosion control measures and the release of water into jurisdictional areas from six (6) discharge locations to Tucalota Creek, Saint Gertrudis Creek, Murrieta Creek, and unnamed tributaries of these creeks. Methods include releasing water via blow-off structures or pumping water from pump well structures; diverting water through dissipation socks or dewatering hoses; and discharging the water to stream areas. The empty pipeline will then be inspected and maintained. The LSA is limited to impacts as a result of dewatering to and within Tucalota Creek, Saint Gertrudis Creek, Murrieta Creek.
