Document Description
DWR and Contractor will remove existing and install new steel radial gates within the CAAQ Check Structures 3, 4, 6, 9. A total of 10 existing gates will be removed, disposed of in an approved site, and replaced with 10 new gates over the course of approximately 6 years. Existing fencing will need to be removed, then a crane will be used to remove the existing radial gates and install new ones in the same location. Any removed fencing will be replaced in the same location. Vehicle and equipment staging will be on existing roadways and turnouts. All work will be within DWR right of way.

1. Check Structure 3 is located east of Interstate 580 from the Corral Hollow Road Exit, and continuing south on the California Aqueduct primary access road. 2. Check Structure 4 is located south of Highway 132 from the S. Bird Road Exit, and continuing east on the California Aqueduct primary access road. Take the Highway 132 East Exit off of Interstate 580 before merging onto Interstate 5 when heading south. 3. Check 6 is located east of Interstate 5 from the McCracken Road Exit, heading south on Howard Road, and turning right to head south on the California Aqueduct primary access road. 4. Check 9 is located West of Interstate 5 from the W. Struhr Road Exit, and turning right on Bell Road, and turning right on Orestimba Road., head west and turn left on the California Aqueduct primary access road.
