Approximately 35 trees, most of which are diseased, in poor health, or dead, and minor surface vegetation will be removed from the dam slopes to provide effective dam surveillance and accurate monitoring of the dam surface. The dam surface will be rehabilitated as necessary using Best Management Practices such as straw wattles and jute netting. Tree and vegetation removal will be in accordance with the requirements of the California Department of Water Resources, Division of Safety of Dams (DSOD).
