Document Description
The Union Public Utilities District is in the process of obtaining a State Water Resources Control Board Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan to make improvement at three existing UPUD facilities. The purpose of the Project is to provide the UPUD with the infrastructure needed address it current and planned future distribution and storage needs and achieve regulatory compliance for trihalomethanes (THMS). Project objectives includes installation of infrastructure to recapture the decanted backwash water for reuse or recirculation into the existing treatment process and aeration improvements to reduce high levels of THMS in its domestic water system.
