The proposed action includes improvements to an approximately 1.3-mile segment of Ashwood Street within the unincorporated community of Lakeside in San Diego County. Specifically, improvements would occur on Ashwood Street between Mapleview Street and approximately 1,000 feet north of the intersection with Willow Road (where Ashwood Street transitions into Wildcat Canyon Road). The goals of the proposed project are to improve traffic movement and sight distance at various locations including El Capitan High School, County-owned Cactus Park, and the intersections of Ashwood Street with Mapleview Street and Willow Road.
