Document Description
Kern Fan Authority (KFA) member districts seek to integrate their various water management activities to achieve more efficient operations and flexible response capabilities. Over the last decade, the member districts of the KF A have developed various water management and groundwater bunking programs, and each has its own water conveyance, recharge, extraction, and storage infrastructure. By integrating their respective water management activities, Rosedale-Rio Bravo Water Storage District, Kern Delta Water District, Henry Miller Water District, and Buena Vista Water Storage District will be able to maximize their ability to exchange, transfer, recharge, recover, and operate individual water management activities. This integration would create opportunities for the reciprocal use of facilities and infrastructure among the four members and would not require any new construction. In addition, this integration would be Limited by the existing capacity and operational constraints of the individual programs of each agency.
