Document Description
The proposed project is the establishment and implementation of Cooperative Service Agreement (CSA) between Shasta County and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service-Wildlife Services (APHIS-WS) for an integrated wildlife damage management (IWDM) program in the County. Primary functions provided by APHIS-WS would include offering technical advice/assistance to resource owners and investigating and responding to wildlife damage situations. The County would not be materially involved in any of the IWDM program activities other than to cost share the financial portion of the program. Neither APHIS-WS nor Shasta County is proposing any change to the IWDM program activities in the County as it historically operated from 1998 to 2018, when the County voluntarily terminated the CSA.
