Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2020-0047-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Daniel Wilson/Reclamation District #3. The project is limited to repairing up to 1,250 linear feet of levee on the west side of Grand Island, along the left river bank of Steamboat Slough, to address critical seepage problems by constructing a cutoff wall. The project involves constructing a three-foot-wide seepage cutoff wall from the 1957 design water surface elevation of ~15.2 feet National Geodetic Vertical Datum 29 to a depth of ~55-80 feet. Construction of seepage cutoff wall will be done using a long reach excavator and reconstructed to its previous lines and grades.
