Document Description
The Project proposes to improve fish passage as well as enhance and expand tidal, brackish, freshwater and riparian habitat conditions on Cochran Creek and Quail Slough. Project components on Cochran Creek include: 1) Replace Tide Gate on Fay Slough and Create a Muted Tide Cycle 2) Realign Cochran Creek 3) Construct Drop Structure to Facilitate Fish Passage 4) Construct Inset Floodplain 5) Revegetate Cochran Creek with Appropriate Native Species 6) Remove Invasive Species. Project components on Quail Slough include: 1) Upgrade Existing Channel Crossings 2) Realign Lower Quail Slough and Expand Channel Capacity 3) Create Ephemeral Off-Channel Backwater Habitat 4)Construct Inset Floodplain and Tidal Berms 5) Install Tide Gates on Drainage Channels 6) Revegetate the Quail Slough Corridor with Appropriate Native Species 7) Remove Invasive Species.
