Document Description
The County of San Mateo (County) has developed the Routine Maintenance Program (Maintenance Program) Manual to describe the various routine maintenance activities conducted by the County Department of Public Works (DPW) and Parks Department (Parks). Both departments are responsible for conducting routine maintenance to ensure that County facilities are properly functioning and operational. The Manual provides a comprehensive and consistent approach to conducting routine maintenance activities. Primary maintenance activities include maintenance of culverts, storm drainage facilities, bridges, roadside ditches and swales; sediment removal in engineered channels, natural creeks and culverts; creek bank stabilization; vegetation management; grazing; road and trail maintenance; and maintenance of marinas.
