Document Description
Note: Review Per Lead
The city of Dunsmuir is proposing to complete improvements to its wastewater treatment system. Proposed improvements at the WWTP include constructing a new selector and screen; completing improvements to the oxidation ditch, sludge lagoon, influent line, effluent wet well, and control building; installing four groundwater monitoring wells; constructing a new outfall south of the existing outfall; and constructing a 1,000 sf building for ultraviolet disinfection equipment. The dimminutor at the WWTP would be relocated to the I-5 Lift Station. The improvements are needed in order to replace aging and inefficient equipment, improve the treatment process, and comply with Central Valley RWQCB requirements. The subject properties are not included on any list of hazardous waste facilities/sites pursuant to section 65962.5 of the California Government Code.
