The proposed project site comprises approx 917.3 acres. The proposed project consists of a new SP to replace the existing Rio Vista Specific Plan, initially approved by Riverside County in 1992. The following project description outlines the major elements of the SP. The applicant is proposing to develop a community on 917.3 acres of land containing up to 1,363 dwelling units on 254.4 acres of land, 608.6 acres of open space, 18.6 acres of recreational amenities, and 13.3 acres for a new k-8 public elementary school.
