The project consists of the repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public structures involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels; the replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced; the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; and minor public alterations in the condition of land, water and/or vegetation which does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees; and basic data collection which does not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource, and are included as "Modifications of existing facilities for disabled access", "Construction or installation of interpretive signing or panels", "Trail construction or alignment" and "Trail removal" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR S15300.4.
