Document Description
Clean Water Fund will use community air grant funds to conduct community outreach and traning, deploy sensors that detech criteria air pollutants and toxic contaminants, and develop a website that presents data to help the community avoid exposure and advocate for improvements. Small portable air monitors (approx. 8 Alphasense monitors), Yoctopuce environmental monitors (approx. 8 devices), and portable PID VOC sensors for VOC/ROC detection will be secured to roofs and fences, with permission from property owners, to monitor air quality. The monitors are small and will be housed in a weatherprood box. Air monitoring locations will be selected after a community engagement process.

General rule that CEQA applies only to projects whihc have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. With certainty, there is no possibility that the project may have a significant effect on the environment. The project consists of community outreach activities, project coordination and planning and community engagement. The activities proposes involve only minor alteration of existing air monitoring station and as Class 11 exemption because the activities consist of construction of minor structures accessory or appurtenant to existing facilities. The activities involve installation of small new seuipment and only minor modifications will be made to the exterior of existing structures. The activities proposed involve collection of information and does not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. Note: See NOE for full exemption
