Document Description
The extension of Taxiway B (the project) will include an area approximately 1,300 feet long with a minimum 75 feet width. The project will include a 35-foot paved shoulder and LED edge lighting on each side. The project will also involve adding a turn-around area to allow large aircraft utilizing the hangars along Taxiway B to turn around without assistance, reversing direction on Taxiway B, so that aircraft can safely return to the runway or other destinations on the airport. The extension of Taxiway B does not alter the design capacity of the taxiway as defined in the approved Master Precise Development (PD) Plan for the Mojave Air and Space Port.

The project consists of the extension of Taxiway B that is a replacement/reconstruction that will not alter the design capacity of the taxiway as defined in the approved master PD Plan for the Mojave Air and Space Port;
Staff reviewed the project information and evidence in the record for the previously approved Mojave Specific Plan and associated certified Final EIR and previously approved Master PD Plan and associated Negative Declaration for future redevelopment and development at the Mojave Air and Space Port; and
Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Section 15162 of the Guidelines for the Implementation of CEQA, after a review of the project ad evidence in the record, including the abovementioned planning and environmental documents, staff determined that the project does not require the preparation of subsequent environmental documentation.
