Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board), as the responsible agency, has issued a water supply permit for this Project. Use of Well No. 9 was discontinued in 2007 due exceedances of manganese. The Project is located within the existing facility footprint and included rehabilitation of Well No. 9 water treatment, installation of backwash facilities and demolition of existing piping and fencing at the Project site. Well Treatment installation includes: -Water distribution ductile iron pipe (buried and above ground) and appurtenant valves -Ten (10) exterior skid mounted pressure vessel filter units with a piping and control system -Chemical metering pumps with monitoring equipment Backwash Disposal System includes: -A pumping station at Well No. 9 -700 linear feet of 10 " -diameter force main piping to convey backwash water to sanitary sewer system within paved and unpaved sections of Los Coches Road -Two (2) sanitary sewer manholes
