Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed
Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0139-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Sacramento County Department of Regional Parks, as represented by Liz Bellas.
The project is limited to the destruction of four (4) wells along the American River and one (1) well at an unnamed tributary to the American River in order to address a potential threat to groundwater supply. Project activities include removal and disposal of derelict equipment, clearing of debris, removal and disposal of well pump lubricating oil waste, video surveys, well destruction (typically sealant), demolition
of piping and appurtenances, and the backfill of excavations.
