Document Description
The county proposes to replace the existing bridge structure on an improved horizontal alignment with a 2-lane structure that would meet current design standards. The new bridge would be approx 5.5-ft wider than the existing bridge to accommodate two 11-ft lanes and 5-ft shoulders on each side of the bridge. The new structure would also be approx 16-ft longer. The bridge approaches and roadway profile at the beginning and ending of the bridge would be raised approx 1-ft to meet the hydraulic requirements associated with the creek. In addition, the creek embankment would be covered with rock slope protection to mitigate scour within the limits of the bridge approach fills.
