Document Description
The proposed project is located in Stanislaus County on 0.6 mi (approx 3,157 ft) of Sperry Rd (also known as Sperry Ave) from west of I-5 (PM 15.8/15.9) to west of Rogers Rd. The proposed project would upgrade the I-5/Sperry Rd interchange, including widening Sperry Rd and widening/reconstructing the ramps. Typically, Sperry Rd would widened by approx 18 ft; however, additional widening would be necessary at the approaches to the ramp intersections as well as the Rogers Rd intersection in order to provide turn pockets. Retaining walls would be constructed along both sides of Sperry Rd under I-5, and the Sperry Rd Bridge at the California Aqueduct would be widened to accommodate the wider roadway. No improvements would be made to mainline I-5 as part of the proposed project.
