Document Description
The project will create a new local, sustainable, and dorught-proof water supply using state-of-the-art technology. The project proposes to recycle East San Diego COunty's wastewater locally and then purify the water at an Advanced Water Treatmen Plant (AWTP). The purified water would be transported to lake Jennings for surface water augmentation. The proposed project would include upgrades to the existing influent pump station, expansion of the Ray Stoyer Water Recycling Facility to 18 MGD average annual capacity, construction of a Solids Handling and Energy Recovery Facility, construction of an AWTP Facility (11.5 MGD average annual capacity) and construction of facilities to convey purified water from the AWTP Facility to Lake Jennings for surface water augmentation. Additionally, the proposed project includes modifications to the East Mission Gorge Pump Station and construction of a force main, and a residuals bypass system.
