Document Description
The project will replace the deteriorating staircase to the flagpole across from the park entrance kiosk and will be completed by an Eagle Scout as an Eagle Scout project. Using design specifications from the State Parks Trails Manual for double interlocking steps, the staircase will be made of 8" x 8" redwood lumber cut into 36" lengths with 3/4" pipe cut into 36" lengths. Excavation of approximately 23" of slope will be trenched for setting the 8" x 8" step sides. Native soil and material moved will be used to backfill approximately 5" of step tread for each step.
