Document Description
The project involves the installation of a secondary water source for the CSD that will provide adequate water for the 87 residences within the Black Butte Subdivision. The well is being installed in compliance with the Waterworks Standards for alternate sources or storage Title 22, Section 64554(a)(2). The construction includes the drilling of a new well with an air rotary percussion drill to advance a 14 in steel casing to a depth of 400 ft. The proposed pump is a 100 horsepower 3-phase variable speed submersible pump that will produce 1,000 gallons per minute. The new well will be tied in to the existing distribution system prior to the existing pressure tank. A new control panel will be installed with a transducer, flow switch, controls for the new pump will be installed along with a backup generator and new concrete block well house.
