Document Description
To address the recent increase in nitrate at Well Field 3A that is limiting water production, CVWD is proposing to install wellhead treatment that can be used for one or more of the existing wells (i.e., Wells 16, 19, and 24). The proposed Well Field 3A Nitrate Treatment Project includes the implementation of a new treatment facility. The NTF being proposed would consist of a biological system followed by ultrafiltration and disinfection. A by-product of the system is wastewater (similar to municipal wastewater); an estimated 15,000 gallons/day would be discharged to the nearby CVWD sewer system. The proposed NTF system would be partially enclosed within a small structure and have piping and tanks located outside of the structure. The tanks would consist of approx 4 process tanks and 3 water storage tanks at a max height of 20'.
