The Imperial County Public Works Dept began mining operations at the Holtville Material Borrow Site in March 1994. The amendment to the Reclamation Plan expands the area of mining from 18.6 acres to a total of 30.3 acres and an ultimate potential yield of approx 408,625 cy.
