Document Description
Existing Ordinance No. 348 is the primary ordinance, which governs the review and approval of the land uses and zoning applications in the County. The purpose of the proposed Ordinance No. 944 is to: 1) improve the overall structure and content of Ordinance no. 348 to make it easier to understand and implement; 2) provide consistency and clarify for land use categories and allowable uses, and 3) provide consistency and clarity in the development review process. The project does not propose any new development or land uses. The project would eliminate the amortization provision of ordinance no. 348, for existing legal non-conforming land uses and structures. The project applies to all new development, and for existing development that requires substantial conformance determinations or new or modified discretionary permits.
