The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority granted under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 20, section 66270.61 has issued an Emergency Permit to the University of California, Riverside, (EPA ID#CAD073134777) to treat hazardous waste through a controlled reaction with a chemical solution. The hazardous waste to be treated consists of:
Acetaldehyde; 1- Peroxide former
Ethyl Vinyl Ether; 3- peroxide former
4-Vinyl Pyridine; 1 - peroxide/monomer
Potassium; 1 - solid, peroxide former
Diethyl Azodicarboxylate; 4 - shock sensitive
Ethyl Diazoacetate; 5 - shock sensitive
Diphenylphosphoryl Azide; 2 - shock sensitive
Diazald; 2 - temperature sensitive
Benzoyl Peroxide; 2- temperature sensitive
Chloroperoxybenzoic acid; 2 - temperature sensitive
Borane THF; 1 - temperature sensitive
2,2 Azobisisobutyronitrile; 1 - temperature sensitive
